juniejuniejune: i feel like i'm waiting for new year's juniejuniejune: where everybody goes HAPPY NEW YEAR'S! juniejuniejune: except more like... .. i dunno what you would say
What would you say?
This was my kind of "to do" list for today's Blogathon that I had posted on my first entry at the start of the 'thon.
I'm going to try and teach myself Swedish.Hey... never said I had to succeed in teaching myself, right? :P
I am also knitting. I should also read the massive amounts of books I have, but don't worry, I won't get to that.
I also have a camisole top I'm making. If I finish it I'll take pictures and maybe do a tutorial.
I'll play some video games, but that's not quite as interesting.
Whoo! I got everything done except for the books, which I said I wouldn't do in the first place.
I've been disconnected three times during this Blogathon.
This has been a good event and I'm glad I decided to participate in it again this year. I hope you guys all sleep very, very, very, very, very, very well. Congratulations!
Remember, it's not too late to sponsor any of the Blogathon bloggers! Pledging goes through Sunday, I think. Thank you to all my sponsors. If you want to sponsor me, check the link on the left sidebar! It'd greatly appreciated!

And now, I'm off!

Another interest of mine is zines. I run a zine distro called HELP ME distro. A zine is kind of like a magazine, only not quite as mass-produced. They can be personal... kind of like a diary (though usually more interesting than "Today I went to Jack in the Box..."), or political, or crafty, or fictional. A distro is short for "distribution". So if you run a zine distro you distribute and sell zines that people make.
One day I want to make a crafty zine, full of patterns and tutorials for stuff I've made and other people have submitted, plus links to really good crafty sites, like Craftster and the LJ community craftgrrl.
I tried constructing a tutorial with Paint for that top I posted but I got frustrated trying to label stuff, so I'm going to redo it on paper and hopefully it'll come out okay if I take a picture of it with the digicam. I miss my old scanner/copier/printer I used to have, but it broke, so I'll just have to make do! Hopefully I'll have that tutorial up soon... and I set up my sewing machine, so I'll probably be finishing the top today also.
I'm going through all the sites I'm monitoring and I keep getting ideas for things to do today! Will the list never end? I want to be like Kara and rewrite some of my stories... I'll do this tutorial first, I guess.
Carrie: Wow... I dunno if I'd have the time to spin yarn with all the other hobbies I already have! I applaud you. I wish there was a reply to comment feature so I didn't have to talk to you through the blog entry, but alas... perhaps if you have AIM you can IM me sometime and we can talk in real time. :P

It seems I am absolutely NO HELP in solving riddles. Someone help! We don't want Gillian to succeed. I'm terrible at riddles. Maybe you're a bit better? o.o;
And now, here are pictures of my knitting project:

Does it look like a legwarmer yet? XD
This is the packaging for the double pointed needles I'm using. I like bamboo needles. The thing I hate about the aluminum ones, and this only gets bad when they start getting to the mondo-gigantic sized ones, is that... well, they're made out of aluminum, and they're hollow! The sound they make, even when I just tap them with a fingernail, makes my teeth hurt... and since my friend was adamant about not using plastic needles, bamboo it is! And anyway, I'm supporting my people. :P

And this picture is the yarn I'm using! That clump on the side came out as I fished around for the end. Originally it actually looked like a mini-skein... but alas, it is now just a clump that I have to continually untangle.

MAN it's nice, bright, and early! It's also freezing ass cold.
In retrospect, I should have gone to bed a lot earlier. I don't think 6 1/2 hours are gonna cut it, do you?
I have nothing of interest to post yet.
I have a few things I'm going to be doing today, along with the random snack and caffeine runs and various attempts to stay awake: I'm going to try and teach myself Swedish. I have a CD and book from the brand that is, in fact, called Teach Yourself Swedish. Neet, isn't it? Since it's early, I don't want to wake my grandma up with the audio version yet, but I'll start on it around 6:30.
I am also knitting. I'm knitting in the round for the first time and no wear near finished. I'm making two 12" leg warmers, and I'm on the first one... about 2" in. It's gonna take me awhile.
I should also read the massive amounts of books I have, but don't worry, I won't get to that.
I also have a camisole top I'm making. If I finish it I'll take pictures and maybe do a tutorial.
I'll play some video games, but that's not quite as interesting.
Good morning you guys, and good luck!
